2010 Australian Supply Chain and Logistics Awards celebrates 50 years

The Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) has announced the format, venue and date for the 50th anniversary Australian Supply Chain and Logistics (ASCL) Awards.

According to ASCL Awards chairman Vince Aisthorpe, the 2010 awards will return to the traditional black tie format as widely requested by industry participants. This befits the ASCLA’s 50-year history as the SCL industry awards in Australia.
“Unfortunately last year’s event was severely restricted by the global financial crisis and we are pleased to advise that the 2010 event will be held at the Crystal Palace, Luna Park, Sydney on Thursday the 28th of October.

“The SCLAA is very pleased that industry partners are overwhelmingly supporting the return to our traditional style of awards evening with a sit-down black tie dinner, fantastic entertainment and a wonderful evening as befits the achievements of award finalists and winners. We have had some memorable awards evenings around the country in this format and we look forward to running a spectacular event at Luna Park for the industry,” Mr Aisthorpe said.

“The ASCL Awards is the longest-running national awards program in the industry and the SCLAA is extremely proud of its fifty year history. They are designed to recognise high achievement by individuals and companies in this diverse industry and to acknowledge the innovative projects that are being carried out every day in all parts of Australia. The program allows nomination of suppliers, business partners, companies or people who work for them and publicly recognises their efforts.

Traditional and new sponsors, award nominees and interested event attendees are invited to contact ASCLA at ascla@sclaa.com.au.
