Scania opens full-service factory-owned branch in Newcastle

Scania truck and bus customers in New South Wales will have access to a second factory-owned branch, with Scania Newcastle up and running.

Located at 1 Enterprise Drive, Beresfield, Scania Newcastle is in one of the fastest developing regions in Australia and is well positioned on the east coast transport route.

Scania NSW account manager Mick Elder will be part of the team at the new premises, reporting to Kasey Chetty, Scania NSW state manager.

The new location was previously a truck sales outlet, and it has been refurbished to meet Scania standards. The new Scania-liveried and equipped workshop has four bays and two pits and will be able to offer sales as well as maintenance, and a full range of Scania customer and vehicle services.

“Scania will now be able to offer a very high level of support to its customers in the Newcastle region,” said Kasey Chetty.

“Our customers have asked us to establish a factory-owned Branch in the area and we have responded to their requests. We will bring a greater focus to Scania here, and this will lead to greater sales and service opportunities, particularly in the mining sector in the Hunter Valley.

“We will augment Scania’s business footprint in the region, building on a strong base comprising existing loyal bus and truck customers,” Kasey said.
