Supporting supply chain and logistics education at the UWS


 
Developing future professionals and leaders should be important for all organisations, however, not many are prepared to put their money where their mouth is. This can’t be said for MRL Logistics, which has not only provided financial support to UWS in the form of a $500 cash prize for students, but also the time of its financial controller to speak to students about the supply chain and logistics professions and the many opportunities it offers.
 
“We place a great emphasis on training and developing our own staff, and so to assist with developing the people that are our industries future is quite simply the right thing to do,” said Ali Leghaei, MRL Logistics.
 
The MRL Prize in Global Supply Chain Management will be awarded to the winning UWS team in The Fresh Connection Simulation played in semester one by approximately 80 students.
 
The Fresh Connection National Student Challenge will commence on 19 March, with leading universities in supply chain education participating, including UWS, Curtin, and Queensland University of Technology.
 
The Fresh Connection is proudly supported by Transport & Logistics News, MHD Supply Chain Solutions magazine, apics, GS1, 3pi, and Focus Press.
