CEVA's radical restructure

CEVA Logistics is to undergo a major restructure, making its four new regional presidents responsible for running the integrated businesses in Contract Logistics (CL) and Freight Management (FM).

Announcing the changes, CEO John Pattullo said: “We believe this will bring our businesses even closer to customers and helps us meet their growing need for integrated solutions.”

The company, created from the merger of the former TNT Logistics with Eagle Global Logistics last August, retained the CL and FM businesses as separate divisions.

Following a nine-month pilot program that integrated the two sectors in the Asia-Pacific region at country level, the company has decided to expand the model worldwide.

“The Asia test has delivered outstanding results. The integrated structure allows for one CEVA face to the market, helps us stay very much attuned to customer expectations, and enables the provision of integrated solutions,” Mr Pattullo said.

He said the changes are expected to provide the basis for sustainable growth, with more focus laid on the company’s three international sectors - automotive, technology and retail industries – to better manage sector-specific issues.

To implement the restructure, the company announced the appointments of four presidents: Joe Bento for Americas, Vittorio Favati for Asia-Pacific, Bruno Sidler for Northern Europe and Gianfranco Sgro for Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
