Sterling Commerce has announced that DP World, L’Oréal Australia, New South Wales Department of Health and True Alliance have been named Sterling Commerce 2008 customer award winners for 2008.
Held for the second consecutive year, the awards recognise outstanding examples of how customers and partners are working with the company to help their businesses succeed in a shifting business landscape.
The awards announced include:
The 2008 Award for Excellence in Innovation for the Health Industry awarded to the New South Wales Department of Health.
The 2008 Award for Excellence in Innovation for the Logistics Industry awarded to DP World, one of the largest marine terminal operators in the world.
The 2008 Award for Excellence in Technical Innovation and Use of the Sterling Collaboration awarded to L’Oréal Australia, a subsidiary of Paris-headquartered L’Oréal.
In addition, the inaugural 2008 Award for Excellence in Innovation and the Environment was awarded to True Alliance, one of Australia’s largest distributors and licensees of sport and fashion brands, as they recently selected the Sterling Commerce Order Management Suite to help them reduce their carbon footprint.
Sterling Commerce has also named HCL Technologies and e-Centric Innovations as the recipients of the Sterling Commerce Excellence in Business Partnering awards following their creation of successful customer relationships through the consultation and delivery of Sterling Commerce-based solutions.
“While this year’s winners represent a cross-section of different industries, and span a variety of medium to very large organisations, they have one point in common – they are all leveraging Sterling Commerce solutions in ways that transform their business. By putting Sterling Commerce at the core of their e-Commerce and supply chain strategies, these organisations have risen above their peers by finding new ways to maximise their business and increase B2B collaboration and agility within their organisations,” said Michael Vulcan, managing director, Sterling Commerce Australia/New Zealand.
Mark Zrna, senior systems engineer – B2B, IT Shared Services, Orica, and the National Australia Bank B2B team were also recognised with Customer Advocacy Awards for their support and use of Sterling Commerce solutions in 2008.
Sterling Commerce customer nominees were considered based on eight criteria points, among them being: first in their industry (in Australia) to deploy a particular Sterling Commerce solution, size of product deployment, impact the solution had on their industry, and strategic significance the product had on the customer’s business among other criteria.
