The Brisbane premises of Australia’s largest independent road transport provider Direct Freight Express has been made available for sale or lease through CB Richard Ellis.

The Darra facility was purpose built for Direct Freight Express within Brisbane’s sought after QCL Estate.

The 59 Ebbern Road property has been listed for sale or lease following the company’s decision to relocate to larger Brisbane premises at Crestmead. The campaign will be steered by CBRE’s Edward Bull and Mark Clifford.

Mr Clifford said the state-of-the-art facility was expected to attract significant interest - both from tenants and owner occupiers.

On a for-lease basis, Mr Clifford said the space was priced at under $100 a square metre - a highly competitive rate given the property’s prime location in Brisbane’s inner western corridor.

The Darra facility has a gross floor area of 6,946 square metres, including a 4,998 square metre warehouse facility, 1,800 sqm awning and 148 square metres of office space. It is situated on a large 1.26 hectare site which offers easy access to Brisbane’s major transport routes, including the Ipswich Motorway.

The facility’s key features include 11 loading docks, excellent internal height and large hardstand truck turning areas. Mr Clifford said the fully covered awning area would provide significant benefits by delivering additional storage capacity.

The facility also offers a purpose built layout for small freight handling and an internal office/control room in the centre of the warehouse.

“The QCL Estate is without doubt the best location in the western corridor,” Mr Clifford said.

“The facility offers excellent flexibility and functionality and is priced to move.”
