Big guns join ITTE Show line up

Isuzu Trucks has been the number one truck brand sold in the Australian truck market for the past twenty years and it hopes to celebrate the milestone of twenty-one years in style at the International Truck, Trailer & Equipment Show in 2010.

Renewing its prime position at the show, Isuzu trucks will occupy over 1,000 square metres of both indoor and outdoor exhibition space. Fifteen models of its popular Truck range will be on display in the Boulevard Pavilion.

With a clear focus on customer service, Isuzu will be dedicated to ensuring that its customers appreciate the benefits to be gained from its 'Isuzu Care' customer service offering.

Two prime mover and B-double combinations, as well as a bodied rigid truck will be on display on the main walkway, visible from the moment visitors enter through the show gates, ensuring that the Isuzu brand is well placed to greet all visitors attending the show.

In addition to this, Hino Australia has again thrown its full support behind the ITTE Show by confirming its attendance at the upcoming event being held in Melbourne next March. Hino, which was a supporter at the inaugural 2008 event, has again underlined its ongoing commitment to the transport industry by securing its space on the coveted Town Square Lawn area. This represents a key change for Hino when comparing it to the Show Pavilion, from which they exhibited at the last ITTE Show. The decision to move was made by Hino management after giving strong consideration to a number of different options and evaluating how it could make the show work best for it and its customers. "We want to be in a central location to guarantee that all visitors attending the show have the opportunity of seeing the quality of our trucks and the impressive product range available from Hino," said Hino marketing manager, Paul Tuffy.

The Town Square Lawn will be one of the main gathering points at the show due to its central location and Hino's presence is sure to enhance its popularity. It is also adjacent to the new moving equipment display area that has been very popular with exhibitors and is certain to be an additional draw card for visitors.

Organisers have also announced that Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific (MBAuP) has signed on to return to the International Truck, Trailer & Equipment Show in Melbourne in March 2010.

Once again Daimler Trucks, Fuso and the commercial vehicles after-sales team will be on display under one roof at the Melbourne Showgrounds in the RASV Pavilion.

The after-sales team will focus on service and parts programs and products that MBAuP has developed to help optimise customers' business operations. Its stand will feature a new range of Alliance-branded products and parts and a full-size cut away of a working V8 Actros engine.

The MBAuP stand won the Best Industry Truck Display at the inaugural ITTE Show in 2008.

CV sales and marketing general manager Vince King said the ITTE Show was an important event for the Australian transport industry and MBAuP was proud to support it.

"The ITTE Show is a professionally-run event and a wonderful showcase for our industry," he said. "Being based in Melbourne, the show is also a chance for us to provide extra opportunities and events for our customers, suppliers and partners."

"Plus after our success in 2008, we'll be back to defend our 'Best Industry Truck Display' title and aim to again leave a lasting impression on show visitors and the industry," said Vince.
