New Zealand distributor scoops awards

Crown Equipment New Zealand has been awarded the ‘Best Overall Distributor Performance within the Australasian Region 2008’ and ‘Best Overall Distributor performance within the APAC/Middle East Region for 2008’ for SSI Schaefer

According to Alan Clark, managing director of SSI Schaefer Australasia, they are awarded to the leading distributor in the Australasian and APEC/ Middle East region and recognise Crown Equipment New Zealand’s commitment to SSI Schaefer’s range of industrial warehouse and storage systems.

“This is an excellent result for Crown Equipment considering that they have only been one of our exclusive distributors for the last twelve months. In this period Crown has been achieving outstanding results, which have provided the New Zealand market with a viable alternative storage systems supplier,” Mr Clark said.

“One of the greatest strengths of Crown New Zealand’s association with SSI Schaefer is that along with its global presence, they have a real thirst for innovation. Like Crown, SSI Schaefer is not a follower, but an industry leader. The business relationship is a really great fit with both companies dedicated and focused on getting the job done properly,“ he said.

Mike Fogarty, managing director, Crown Equipment NZ added that in New Zealand with their highly experienced local design expertise, they can tap into SSI Schaefer’s vast resources and knowledge and develop fresh initiatives.

”You only have to look at SSI Schafer’s involvement with high profile projects like the Coca Cola Rack Clad site in Mt Wellington or BMW Multi tier Shelving system in Highbrook to see the level of their capability. This will add real value to customers.” Mr Fogarty said.

All storage systems are designed to meet and exceed Australian, International F.E.M standards and OH&S requirements, as well as being fully compliant with New Zealand Seismic Design Code (NZS1170.5-2004) and erected to FEM 10.3.01 Erection Tolerances.

With a thorough understanding of seismic standards and engineering requirements to meet NZ conditions, linked together with Crowns expertise in materials handling and after sales support, this  relationship has already been of benefit  to other blue-chip New Zealand companies such as  Foodstuff’s , Morgan Furniture , Talley’s, Goodman Fielder , Heinz Watties , Sanitarium and Fonterra.
