All the winners from the annual Supply Chain and Logistics Awards

The Corporate Express team.

The Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) has announced the winners of the 2009 Australian Supply Chain and Logistics Awards on Thursday 12 November at the Eureka Tower in Melbourne.

The awards evening was sponsored by GS1 Australia and AIMM Industrial Training, Australia’s Best, College of Warehousing, IPA, SSI Schaefer and SkyWire.

With an extremely high quality and diverse number of entries in every category this year the judging was even more difficult, with the winners and high commendations standing out as exceptional submissions.

2009 ASCL FUTURE LEADERS AWARD
The purpose of this award is to provide incentive and recognition to young professionals who are both currently working in and wish to continue their career path within the Transport, Supply Chain and Logistics Industry.

WINNER: JODIE COLLIE, COLINS FOOD GROUP
Jodie Collie is a shining example of the competence, flair and enthusiasm increasingly common amongst our industry's Future Leader's today. Over the past 12 to 24 months at Collins Food Group in Brisbane, Jodie has become increasingly relied on in her role as Group Purchasing Officer both on operational and strategic levels. Jodie has an infectiously positive personality that spills over into every part of her professional life. She has developed a reputation amongst her clients and colleagues as a ‘can do’ – ‘go to’ person when any operational hiccup is experienced in servicing fresh food businesses all over Queensland. More recently during the Queensland floods this year, Jodie (in the absence of her State Manager and CEO who were both interstate) single handily propped up the operations of Collins Food Group by thinking quickly on her feet and developing numerous supply chain strategies to continue to service those clients in rural Queensland most isolated by the floods. Jodie is an example to her clients, peers and supervisors of what a positive and determined attitude can have on any supply chain in any situation.

HIGH COMMENDATION: MATTHEW KELLYTHORN, MRS CROCKET’S KITCHEN
The finalists were Greg Layt, Polar Fresh, Peter Calli...
