Forum to explore great opportunities for the rail industry

With the government’s commitment to the rail industry and rail infrastructure spending at an all time high, there is now unprecedented opportunity for the rail supply industry. Never before has there been a greater imperative for all of the participants to build on the current strengths of individual companies and combine into a cohesive rail supply industry.

This domestic resurgence is an opportunity to improve skills and employment in trade and engineering roles. It also has enormous potential to increase export opportunities for Australian companies.

Aim

The aim of this forum is to escalate the thinking and collective voice of the rail supply industry, through a series of state-focused networking sessions in regional centres and capital cities of Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.

These forums will bring together the extensive knowledge of CEOs from various local and international companies, to begin a dialogue on creating and developing industry standards for Australia drawing from experiences across the regions of United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, North America, and Asia.

• Local business leader as MC.
• Open and welcome by minister or senior industry department official.
• Value and approach to industry research for Canadian Rail - Cliff Mackay, chief executive offcer, Rail Association of Canada (RAC).
