Brisbane Truck Show

The Board of the Commercial Vehicle Industry Association of Queensland (CVIAQ) has announced that the Queensland Truck and Machinery Show will now be called The Brisbane Truck Show.

WHEN:  05/05/2011 to 08/05/2011

WHERE:  Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre

STATE:  QLD

COUNTRY:  AUS

The Board of the Commercial Vehicle Industry Association of Queensland (CVIAQ) has announced that the Queensland Truck and Machinery Show will now be called The Brisbane Truck Show.

Following the overwhelming support from industry of the decision to relocate the show to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) earlier this year, the board has moved to dedicate the famous show to the transport industry.

CVIAQ president Bob Martin announced: "The CVIAQ has always listened to industry and the overwhelming message was to go to a dedicated transport industry show. We acknowledge and thank the Construction Mining Equipment Industry Group (CMEIG) for their support over the last 20 years, however, the time has come for the show to go back to its roots. Over the last five months the CVIAQ has carefully assessed the support for the relocation to the BCEC and the transport industry’s needs for 2011 and into the future. Given the support for the move to the BCEC and allowing for future growth of the show the CVIAQ Board moved quickly and has made the decision to provide certainty for all stakeholders."

CVIAQ CEO Brett Wright remarked: "This is yet another great evolution of the show and one which will only further enhance the show’s performance. Australia’s Premier Event has no peer and our recent decision to move to the BCEC combined with the dedicated transport industry theme will only further cement its position as the premier event of the southern hemisphere.”

The Brisbane Truck Show will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from Thursday 5 May to Sunday 8 May 2011.
