2010 Supply Chain Summit

CILTA and SCLAA are joining forces to host the 2010 Supply Chain Summit – What’s New & What’s Next! The event will be held in Melbourne on 21 September 2010 at the Hilton on the Park.

In the wake of the Global Financial Crisis, the transport and logistics industry is facing many challenges. CILTA and SCLAA are convening this event to ensure that our industry has a clear way forward.

The summit will tackle critical issues including:
  • People in T&L, attracting, retaining and maintaining top quality staff;
  • What’s new in the supply chain; and
  • What’s next?
The joining of forces for this event is to enhance the relationship between the two associations by continuing the tradition and enabling members of both associations to attend one major event in Melbourne.

The organisers hope that this event will allow businesses in the industry to be actively involved in discussing the supply chain as it is now, where it needs to be in the future, and discuss potential solutions to staffing issues faced by the industry. It will give participants the opportunity to hear from industry leaders on these major issues and provide a chance to respond and challenge their current actions. This will not be another conference - we are determined to run a practical and affordable event.

There will be three sessions hosted by leading industry professionals and a CEO’s panel will be conducted to facilitate open questions. Speakers will be:
  • Howard Croxon AM FCILT (National Chairman, CILTA).
  • David Rogers – CPL (Director, Insync Supply Chain Management & National Chairman, SCLAA).
  • Louise Perram-Fisk CMILT (Industry Capability Division, Qld Transport and Main Roads Dept).
  • Simon Coates (Associate Director, Portland Group).
  • Michael Kilgariff (National Chairman, ALC).
  • Michael Alf (Vice President, Capgemini).
  • Peta Irving CMILT (Executive Member, Women in Supply Chain).
  • David Doherty OAM (Director, SCLAA; President, Doherty's A.V.E. Pty Ltd & Director AFLVIC).
  • Ken Bean (CEO, Metcash).
  • Giuseppe Devincenzo (Managing Director, CEVA Logistics).
  • Hans Anneveldt FCILT (Group General Manager, QR National, Freight).
  • Bill Rothery (CEO and Chairman, Swires).
Also on this date the 2010 CILTA Victorian Industry Awards and 2010 SCLAA Victoria Recognition Awards will take place.
