Transtech buys OmniSTAR's IAP business

Transtech Driven has bought OmniSTAR’s Intelligent Access Program (IAP) business.

Transtech Driven CEO Shawn Owen says the company is the longest-serving IAP service provider and is an established solutions provider to the transport and logistics industry.

“This acquisition is another example of Transtech Driven’s investment in and commitment to the future of the Intelligent Access Program. The IAP is delivering substantial benefits to Transport Operators and demand is continuing to grow,” he said.

“Omnistar has built a successful business in the IAP market and attracted a large number of quality clients, which will complement Transtech Driven’s premium client base. Transtech Driven is a customer service driven organisation committed to delivering excellence in technology and support to its clients over the long term.”

Transport Certification Australia (TCA), the organisation administering the Intelligent Access Program (IAP), has commented that IAP services are provided by independent, private sector organisations and the IAP model was designed to allow IAP Service providers to smoothly transition in and out of the market. The tools, procedures and processes are in place to allow this transition to happen.

Chris Koniditsiotis, CEO of TCA said: “TCA recognises OmniSTAR’s long and successful record of involvement with the IAP and has been working with both Transtech Driven and OmniSTAR to help facilitate a smooth transition for all IAP customers.”
