The new Nuvi 465T speciality trucking GPS from Garmin has all the features of an in car GPS, along with specialised routing options and truck friendly points of interest. You can create custom vehicle profiles tailored to your trucks specific dimensions, and what you're hauling.

The Nuvi 465T gives you truck-friendly routing for Australia. Just enter your truck's details (including height, weight, length, width and hazardous materials) and the Nuvi 465T will calculate the most efficient route to your destination, given your specific limitations. Restrictions such as height, width, dangerous goods etc, are all taken into account when giving directions.

The large 4.3 inch widescreen shows a wealth of information in great detail - such as speed limit indicators, upcoming obstacles/restrictions, and the correct lane you need to be in (via Lane Assist).  Lane assist is particularly useful at major intersections and turn-offs, giving you enough warning for which lane you need to be in.

The Nuvi 465T also features auto sort - if you have multiple stops along your journey, the 465T will arrange these into the most efficient route. It also features Real-Time Traffic updates, to let you know of any obstacles or slowpoints on your route.  Real-Time Traffic gives you free alerts about traffic delays - you can view traffic details on the screen, and even choose to detour around the hazard.

The 465T displays warning information of upcoming road conditions to make drivers aware of possible hazards along selected routes such as sharp curves and steep grades. You'll also get lateral wind warnings and notification when the road narrows. It's the safe way to travel down the highway.

The Nuvi 465T also has Bluetooth for hands-free calling, ability to save up to 15 routes and 100 waypoints, and SD card expansion slot.  Saving your most driven routes and stops (waypoints) makes future trips quick and easy to navigate. The Nuvi 465T gives turn-by-turn, voice prompted directions - including street names, so you don't have to take your eyes off the road.

You can also use the GPS without the truck restrictions, by placing it in car mode - so it can also double as a car GPS afterhours.
