Australia operates in a globally sensitive environment with decisions made in China affecting business each day in Australia.  Over the last few decades industrial economies based on manufacturing have shifted to economies driven by services, electronic technology and information and we have all become reliant on higher levels of cognitive and interactive skills. Australia has been no exception. Trends suggest that our current jobs will continue to change direction and become more complex more frequently through legislative compliance, workforce management, productivity drivers and environmental issues. The need to up skill your existing knowledge and skills quickly is now more evident especially with the current mining boom.  The education trends are away from Certificates to Diplomas in most industry sectors. By 2020 a government report has predicted that 75% of all employees will hold a Diploma qualification.

How your career future turns out will depend on how quickly you can ensure that your current knowledge and skills are those that will be required in the near future?  The Diploma of Logistics is the solution. 

The course details
There are 14 study units in the Diploma of Logistics offered by the College of Warehousing. It is delivered online or by distance learning for remote clients. The study units available in the course are;

  • Ensure a safe workplace
  • Manage emergencies
  • Manage fatigue management policies and procedures
  • Implement and monitor transport logistics
  • Plan and implement maintenance schedules
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures for transport& logistics
  • Manage a supply chain
  • Develop a transport & logistics business plan
  • Manage a transport & logistics business unit
  • Implement and monitor environmental protection policies and procedures
  • Recruit, select and induct staff
  • Manage security of storage facilities
  • Set and achieve a budget
  • Negotiate a contract

How and when do I study?
To start your course with the College request and complete an enrolment form, Language Literacy & Numeracy self assessment, pay the enrolment and the advertised course fee. The College will then open a student file and allocate you a student number. You will be provided a suggested study plan listing the study units with suggested completion timeframes. The College will issue you with a student User ID and Unit password so you can commence studies online immediately. If the internet is unreliable in your area, request paper based course notes.

Using the College online learning system is easy.  You are supported by our friendly office staff during office hours along with a “user friendly” manual.

Who is the Training Organisation?
The College of Warehousing, offering this course is a registered training organisation and has been in business for over 20 years (NTIS number 1623.)  It has provided accredited training and assessment in warehousing, road transport and logistics to thousands of students from trainees to mature aged students during this timeframe.  College clients include Defence, Qantas, Toll, Nestle, BHP, Ceva Logistics, Woolworths, P&O, Smith Bros, Mitsubishi, State Transit Authority NSW, Golden Circle, Toyota, CSR, Excel Logistics, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Sealey, Shell, Transgrid, Repco, Visy, Thiess and many more.  It also includes Federal, State and local government departments and agencies and the wider business community.  Today’s students are tomorrow’s managers.

Your Qualification is nationally recognised
TLI50410 Diploma of Logistics is a nationally recognised qualification and can be used to fast track a university degree in supply chain management by receiving exemptions or cross credit transfers to other nationally accredited courses.  If you do not complete the full course you will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) for the units that you have successfully completed. Your qualification details will be entered into a student management system and results filed electronically for future reference.

What is the cost?

Option 1 is to pay $1500 GST exempt plus a $30 enrolment fee for your TLI50410 Diploma of Logistics for online delivery by credit card, direct deposit or company purchase order.  This course fee is fully tax deductable.   

Option 2 is to pay four (4) instalments each of $400 totaling $1600 plus a $30 enrolment fee for your TLI50410 Diploma of Logistics for online delivery by credit card, direct deposit or company purchase order.  This course fee is fully tax deductable.

These special course fees are valid until the 15th February 2012 or until all allocated places are filled.  Payment can be made directly to the College of Warehousing by credit card, direct deposit or by issuance of a company purchase order.  You will receive a detailed tax invoice or tax receipt for your records.
