Entry-level scanner

Intermec has released a simple, affordable and reliable handheld bar code reader designed for small to medium sized businesses, the SG10T.

The new Intermec SG10T imager uses solid-state imaging technology to read all common 1D bar codes with ease and is suitable for entry-level countertop reading needs.

The SG10T is said to be well-suited for a broad range of environments, including manufacturing, logistics and industrial environments. The bar code imager can be used right out of the box, providing intuitive point and shoot trigger ergonomics to eliminate the need for training.

“The SG10T represents Intermec’s entry into the value priced, general duty scanner market, and adds to the growing portfolio of scanners we can offer in the region,” said Tony Repaci, managing director for Australia and New Zealand. “Business in Australia and New Zealand are looking for asset tracking solutions that give efficiency and bottom line results, and the SG10T helps small to medium businesses achieve that in a competitive market.”

As a simple plug-and-play scanner, the SG10T works out of the box and is available with either a USB or Key Board Wedge interface. The SG10T is also compatible with Intermec’s EasySet PC programming tool, a Windows-based utility that produces the bar codes necessary for custom applications.

The SG10T is backed with Intermec’s 3-year warranty.
