The New Zealand Government has announced a plan to introduce legislation that will allow trucking operators to carry significantly heavier loads on specified routes, whilst in Australia the concept is languishing in a bureaucratic quagmire.
The Roads and Traffic Authority NSW (RTA) has put in place a new higher mass limits (HML) route confirmation service, in order to assist transport operators to make informed decisions about fully enrolling in the intelligent access program (IAP).
