Northern NSW truckers sidelined by mini-budget: ATA

Companies in northern NSW would lose a level playing ground in competition with Queensland counterparts as the deficit-hit NSW Government plans to scrap the northern NSW fuel subsidy, the trucking industry has argued.

The State Government was accused of trying to profit from a fatal road accident after drivers, forced on to a detour route, were fined almost $1,000 each for being on the wrong road, according to a report in The Daily Telegraph.
