The National Transport Commission (NTC) has released a position paper for consultation that outlines a practical alternative to paper-based work diaries, using technology already fitted to many trucks and buses.
The trucking industry needs to take advantage of new technologies such as telematics to boost efficiency, security and safety, said Transport Certification Australia (TCA) chief executive Chris Koniditsiotis.
