NYK Lines offers electronic imports

Major shipping company, NYK Line (Australia) Pty Ltd, has joined Tradegate’s Smartimports service for electronic import delivery orders.


NYK Line will utilise Smartimports to send electronic delivery orders to importers and their agents as well as send the required eIDO to the container terminal operator.


“Smartimports will allow NYK Line and its customers to reap the benefits of electronic communications and reduce the overall costs of cargo release”, 

Peter Blanchard, CEO of Tradegate said.



NYK Line is currently testing with 1-Stop and plan to go live with the service during May.


“NYK Line has chosen Tradegate’s Smartimports service as a way of increasing efficiency in our business while maintaining the highest standards of service and reliability for our customers.”  Mr Robert Ratcliffe, manager of Oceania BPM, NYK Line said.
