Light industrial voice-directed system launched

Vocollect has announced the release of its light industrial wearable voice system, available now.

Vocollect’s light industrial system offers a voice-only voice-directed workflow system for users who want to significantly improve productivity and accuracy in dry, non-freezer environments.

The system is claimed to increase productivity between 10 and 20% in selected workflows, increase accuracy up to 99.9%, with a typical payback of less than one year. Reduced implementation time and costs are possible through the established TaskBuilder Platform tasks, WMS interfaces, and other utilities.

The Talkman T1 is a purpose-built, voice-only wearable appliance based on a platform that has provided years of successful use by tens of thousands mobile workers worldwide. It compares favourably with common handheld devices relative to ruggedness, 1.2m (4’) drop test and environment support (IP 54). However, the total cost of ownership is lower due to the T1’s lack of screen and keypad – two items that commonly break on handhelds.
