Heads roll at Linfox

Three senior executives have been retrenched by Linfox in order to return the linehaul division to profitability.

In an internal memo signed by Linfox chief executive officer Michael Byrne, staff were advised today of the departure of three senior executive managers: Hans Anneveld, president, linehaul; Terry Hargreaves, vice president, linehaul, road & sea; and Greg Gibbins, vice president, linehaul, rail.

The three positions have been rolled into one and will be under the control of Denny Butt, president, linehaul, who is a member of the Linfox executive leadership team.

Danny Butt has been with Linfox for thirteen years and is expected to assume the position immediately. Michael Byrne has thanked the efforts of the three departing men and said the new appointment was necessary to "ensure the continuing cost effectiveness and profitability of the business unit".
